My Approach to Helping

I specialize in working with men looking to improve their relationships and realize their potential, young adults in life transitions, and people seeking deeper meaning in life. I am a warm, grounded, and accepting presence and I offer a space to work through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship problems, feelings of inadequacy, or stagnation. If you find yourself stuck in the same patterns and feelings despite your efforts to change, I can help you create lasting transformation. In these stressful times, our work can help you find clarity, deeper connection with others, and a greater sense of wholeness within yourself.

I will hold your story with you in a genuine and caring way, creating safety to look inward and engage with your growing edge. I believe you are the expert on your life and it is my goal to help you find the answers that lie within you. I work with present moment experience as a way of accessing insight and healing that goes deeper than intellectualizing.

Engaging in therapy is a powerful opportunity to bring awareness to the parts of you that have remained unexamined or that have not been safe to process in your everyday life. I will work with you to bring release to the places you feel stuck, tend to the wounds you carry, and to move toward a more joyful, intentional, and meaningful life.

While I work with all genders in my practice, I have unique insights in working with men. As a man who strives to embody a strong, balanced, and vibrant masculinity rooted in integrity, I’ve done deep personal and group work around male identity and development. I am passionate about working with men around issues such as:
- Discovering and pursuing your purpose
- Expressing your needs and feelings in ways that create connection, rather than push it away
- Relationship problems
- Porn addiction
- Working with anger
- Anxiety & depression
- Understanding the messages carried in your emotions and how they point towards aspects of yourself that are calling for attention or healing
- Learning to tend to your wounds and vulnerabilities with wisdom and care so that they deepen, rather than obstruct, the journey of your life

More Info About My Practice

I also facilitate a men's therapy group every Tuesday night from 6:30-8:00pm. $60 per week.
This group provides an opportunity to grow and heal in a supportive community of other men, to explore male identity, and to experience new and enriching ways of connecting with others. As a group, we process the challenges that many men face, such as loneliness, anxiety, grief, anger, relationship problems, and feelings of being stuck. You are invited to bring your full self to the group, including the parts of you that feel shameful. By sharing our stories and experiences with the group, we can find greater belonging, self-acceptance, and the courage to live our fullest lives.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

It takes courage to face ourselves and be honest about the areas of our life where we are struggling. It takes strength to share who you we are with another person and step into the unknown. We all carry pain and wounding, and so often the feelings and thoughts that seem to hold us back are on some level adaptive responses to difficult or traumatic circumstances. Therapy is a powerful tool for finding your power and moving past the burdens of trauma and conditioning. Seeking therapy does not mean you are broken. It is a way to find greater meaning, freedom, and fulfillment in your life. It is a way of honoring your greatest potential.
