My Approach to Helping
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who completed my undergraduate in Theater from USIU, my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel SeminaryUniversity-San Diego, CA, and am currently pursuing my doctorate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families for over 15 years with a focus on Depression, and Anxiety. My work is also inclusive of providing marriage counseling, facilitating groups for women, working with transitional age youth, and individuals struggling with serious mental health illnesses and relationship challenges.
I have presented for the North County African American Women’s Association presenting on the topic of Teen Mental Health and Trauma, and Depression. I have supported National University's Rancho Bernardo Nursing Students by presenting on the topic of working with adolescents and families struggling with mental health issues. I have provided CEU training on the topic of Communication, Sex, and Technology, Mental Health and Racism, Compassion Fatigue to Compassion, Satisfaction, as well as provided training for Discovery Behavioral Health on the topic Trauma and the Teenage Brain.
I have a passion for seeing people live a fulfilled and victorious life. I also enjoy the integration of creative expression in my work. I have been married to my loving, encouraging, and supportive husband, Cliff, for over 30 years, and have 4 beautiful adult daughters.
