This is your journey, your life, and your time and money. To find a therapist you connect with and one who is effective is not an easy task. A positive therapeutic relationship is essential for the process, your progress and to attain your goals. I approach each client as a unique individual. Your life issues are a result of your internal and external stressors. The stress, anxiety, depression, or general angst in your life comes from both nurture and nature, i.e. neurobiological make-up, family life, environment. Therefore, it is imperative to work with you based on your personal narrative. I will guide and help you achieve balance in your life, improve relationships with self and others, increase self-awareness, and increase overall mindbody wellbeing.

PPO insurance is accepted. However, you will be required to pay the office directly and will be given an invoice bill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I recommend you call your insurance company to find out your reimbursement rate for an \"out of network provider.\" It is also important for you to know that insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis. This is something we can discuss at our first session. Payments accepted: credit card, cash or check at the time of the session.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

No one is perfect. No one has a perfect life. We all face life challenges and conflicts that affect us in some way or another. Some are temporary and not so serious, while others are detrimental and long-term. Nonetheless, everyone can use a non-biased professional to help guide you into a more balanced and harmonious life. It is important to know I also work from a trauma, social justice informed and culturally sensitive lens.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love witnessing growth and transformations in people. To have the privilege to work with individuals, couples and families and be a conduit to their positive life changes is an amazing and beautiful experience.

I find the mind fascinating! Psychotherapy works with the part of you that thinks, feels, reasons and remembers. To guide people to change their thought patterns, to understand and identify feelings, to understand the reasons that influence one's thoughts, feelings and actions, and to address how one's memories affect one negatively or positively, all lead to increased self-awareness, personal growth, and significant change.
