My Approach to Helping
Life can be complicated and the decision to go into therapy is one that can give you clarity and hope about your life, your decisions and your future. I want to help you and have over 20 years of experience in helping others achieve their personal goals, whether to have a successful long term relationship, find the right career, solve a family or work problem or address those annoying internal dialogues that seem to keep you from being your best.
Working with a therapist you have a connection with is worth its weight in gold. It's a unique relationship where you can express and be whoever you are - the best and the worst, without the fear of being judged or humiliated for expressing your most personal thoughts and feelings. It takes some courage to get started, but I'll be right there with you every step of the way. Are you ready to get started?
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy is a resource that can help you resolve problems in your life, alleviate barriers to important decisions you need to make and free you to access a psychological freedom from limits that have been either set for you early on by others or by you.
Ideally, you are committed to the work you do for yourself and come in once per week until you start to experience relief. The time commitment differs for each person, depending on what the issues are that they want to work on, but bottomline is that each individual is a equal partner in the therapeutic process. The therapist is not going to make you say or do anything that you are not comfortable with and always has your best interest and welfare at heart.
For some of my clients, who have experienced first hand the release of restrictions therapy has brought to their lives, decide to not terminate the therapy, but come in for a check up once a month or a quarter, just to make sure they are still on track with their goals. This just underscores how therapy is a resource to access as needed to help you live your best life.
