My Approach to Helping
Tayona Huntley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and has been in the field since 2020. Tayona completed her Master of Social Work at The Catholic University of America. Tayona has worked with all ages and demographics. Some of those populations consist of clients living with HIV and LGBTQ+ communities, individuals who have been displaced or experiencing homelessness, minority populations (10-17), couples trying to find remedies, and those individuals that have experienced mental and physical traumas. Tayona's therapy style is very relatable and often uses a more holistic approach to life’s obstacles. Active listening, goal setting, meditation, visual imagery, research, and mindfulness are all a part of her daily approach to meeting her clients where they are. Tayona's sofa or virtual office is a safe space. Sessions are rooted in trustworthiness, transparency, empowerment, choice, cultural acceptance, historical biases, and gender identity concepts. Be who you are. Mankind is often stronger than we realize. Tayona takes pride in professionally supporting clients by reminding them of the power they truly have. Clients that have the desire to change and just enough effort to try to change can reach every realistic, obtainable goal they set out for themselves. Together you and Tayona will collaborate on tools and techniques to overcome life challenges, stressors, and triggers. You are worthy of peace, joy, and self-love. Schedule a session with Tayona today and she’ll be ready to support you on your thriving journey.
