My Approach to Helping

My practice offers a safe and welcoming environment for people who are looking to make changes in their lives and relationships. My goal is to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space for you to safely and honestly explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I specialize in working with a variety of issues including self-worth, anxiety, communication issues, work-life balance, parenting difficulties, emotional disconnection or infidelity.

I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, Gottman method, and Imago Relationship Therapy. I use a strengths-based approach which is trauma informed. I am deeply committed to women's issues, social equity, antiracism and LGBTQ+ affirmative practice.

Online appointments are available for anyone in Colorado, regardless of location. If cost is a barrier, I offer reduced rates through the non-profit “Open Path Collective”. Just let me know if you'd like more information about this resource.

More Info About My Practice

I moved to Colorado over 40 years ago to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. Like so many others, I knew right away that Colorado was my forever home! After graduating from CU, I worked for ten years for the City of Boulder in the Children's Services Division (later "Division of Children, Youth, and Families").

My work with families inspired me to pursue a graduate degree in community counseling. After graduate school, I worked in community mental health before starting a private practice in Boulder. I practiced in Boulder for over ten years before the pandemic moved things online. Since then, my clients and I have enjoyed the flexibility and convenience of my online practice.
