What's My Approach to Therapy?

Sadie Forney holds a deep belief in each person’s capacity for growth, healing, and change, regardless of their past or present circumstances. She believes that all people are inherently good, understanding that the coping mechanisms that we rely on often arise from a genuine need to navigate difficult experiences. Haley believes that these patterns were once essential for getting through difficult moments, and with compassionate support and intentional work, they can be reshaped.

Recognizing that lasting change takes courage and vulnerability, Haley is dedicated to being a steady, supportive presence throughout each client’s journey. She offers a warm, empathetic, and judgment-free environment where clients can safely explore their inner world, build self-awareness, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live.

At Foundations Counseling, Haley works with a wide variety of clients who may be seeking services that include:

• Mental health and wellness – stress, self-esteem, self-care, self-worth, anger management, assertiveness training, boundaries, empowerment, and perfectionism

• Life transitions – life coaching, life stages, career counseling, life transitions, establishing self, male and female role issues, restoring meaning to life

• Individual counseling – anxiety, depression, personality challenges, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), social anxiety, drug and alcohol use and addiction recovery, abandonment issues, codependency, trauma and abuse recovery, schizophrenia

Sadie is a National Certified Counselor. She has a Master of Arts degree in counseling and career development with a clinical mental health specialization from Colorado State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Sadie utilizes techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy.
