My Approach to Helping
One of the most important things we need in our own lives is balance. This is often difficult to achieve with life's constant demands on our time and energy. Without balance, life becomes wearisome and at times, unmanageable. We begin to wonder if there is meaning in our lives or even if it's "worth the trouble." In the effort to find relief or comfort, we may find ourselves drawn to self-defeating and even destructive behaviors that offer immediate yet temporary relief. There are other options, a different perspective may help. I offer just this to my clients.
My approach to therapy is strength based and solution oriented. I believe everyone has the skills they need to solve challenges they are facing. In a nonjudgmental environment, clients approach individual issues. Some issues have included depression, trauma and loss, pornography and marital difficulties as well as adolescent behavior concerns.
Because I do recognize that life has many demands, I offer EVENING appointments. Additionally, I provide a free consultation by telephone. Consultations are limited to 15 minutes. Emailing me initially regarding your concern or other questions regarding the treatment process is encouraged.
