My Approach to Helping

I have so much admiration and respect for anyone willing to seek out counseling and do the hard work of examining your life and relationships to identify areas of potential growth and change. I am honored to help provide you with a safe, affirming, judgment free space to assist with your personal journey and exploration.

I believe that each individual is unique in their struggles and desires for therapy and possesses their own inner wisdom to help guide their process of growth. My priority is to help you identify the best path for working toward your goals and help you access your inner wisdom along with developing new tools and skills to help you move forward. Often someone comes to therapy with a general sense of dissatisfaction in their life without a clear idea of what is wrong; Sometimes they know exactly what is causing their distress or conflict. Both are completely okay, and I welcome you wherever you are.

I have experience working with individuals of varying ages and backgrounds and am especially passionate about helping those who are experiencing faith transitions and processing religious trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, struggles with body image and acceptance, and anxiety and perfectionism. I also enjoy supporting parents in implementing positive, connected parenting strategies and improving their relationships with their children.

I use an integrated therapeutic approach and believe that the most important element of therapy is a connected, trusting relationship. Some therapeutic modalities that I draw from are CBT, mindfulness, experiential, feminist and psychodynamic.
