My Approach to Therapy
I am very practical in my counseling. I have training in many different approaches. My goal is to choose those skills that will move my clients as quickly as possible to their therapy goals. I see every person as an individual deserving my full attention and respect.

I am trained in traditional neurofeedback. I have received additional training as a LENS therapist--Low Energy Neurofeedback. I find this is extremely helpful for depression and anxiety.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I am very good at dealing with trauma based issues. I have training in EMDR, Neurolinguistics Programing, and hypnosis. These interventions help my clients to move as painlessly as possible through trauma towards healing.
I also specialize in treating Bipolar Disorder. I believe the complete treatment consists not only of medication, but counseling to help to disrupt old patterns, recognize triggers for mood cycles, and help to heal any traumas caused by the bipolar behaviors. My goal is to help my clients to gain a sense of control over their disorder. This helps to lessen mood swings, and in some cases moderate the amount of medication that is needed.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love seeing my clients become empowered. I love seeing my clients move from thinking their situations are difficult or hopeless to seeing that change is really possible. Seeing these changes makes me passionate. I believe that people are capable of change.
