What's My Approach to Therapy?
If you are here, you are taking the first steps to change, and change can be hard. I help adults with trauma who find themselves avoiding or missing meaningful and important experiences in their life due to their struggles. I am a compassionate and curious counselor that helps clients develop insight and awareness into their symptoms, while also teaching skills to change their relationships with their difficult thoughts and emotions. My hope is to give clients the insight, knowledge, and skills so they can live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Skill building is an important part of my therapeutic approach to help clients manage their struggles inside and outside of the office. My counseling entails modalities that help create emotional openness and regulation, flexible thinking, compassionate self-talk, and valued based behaviors. I am also trained in EMDR to help process deeper trauma.
