My Approach to Helping

The first step toward recovery takes courage. It's my privilege to walk alongside you as you journey toward a more fulfilling and rewarding life. I use an integrative, holistic approach to psychotherapy, and incorporate awareness of the relationship between mind, body, and emotions. I offer a safe, nurturing place where you can freely express yourself and explore your feelings.

Therapy is a collaborative process, where we work together to uncover and honor your own unique truth, clarify your needs, identify tools needed to face challenges, and manage obstacles in your path to self-fulfillment.

The cornerstones of my practice are empathy, respect, and compassion, but I'll also challenge you in a direct and nonjudgmental manner to help guide you on your journey. I help clients with depression, relationship issues, anxiety, and life transitions. I also work with couples to help them identify their needs, nurture trust, improve communication skills, heal old wounds, and facilitate loving behavior. Clients describe my style warm, engaging, direct, and effective. I endeavor to nurture a trusting, authentic relationship, bringing curiosity, warmth, and optimism to each session.

More Info About My Practice

I have worked as a therapist in both clinic and private settings. My clinical work at the Southern California Counseling Center and Fairfax High School has brought me into contact with a population that is diverse in age, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds. My education has included formal psychology training, as well as training in meditation, mindfulness, and yoga. I offer a courtesy phone consultation so that we can see if I would be a good fit for you.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Couples and Premarital Counseling
Bringing two separate lives together is a merger of our individual hopes, fears, and expectations. My goal is to see both of you reach a place of increased connection and deeper intimacy.
Premarital package: In 10 sessions, you and your partner will develop an understanding of what external and internal forces impact a long-term relationship. Topics include: Communication Skills, Extended Family Pressures, Finances, Parenting, Sex & Sexuality, and more. Develop a foundation to grow together, so that as your relationship and family evolves, you won't find yourselves growing apart. A plan that you can use to respond to life's challenges together; stronger and more connected.
