My Approach to Helping
The first step toward recovery takes courage. It's my privilege to walk alongside you as you journey toward a more fulfilling and rewarding life. I use an integrative, holistic approach to psychotherapy, and incorporate awareness of the relationship between mind, body, and emotions. I offer a safe, nurturing place where you can freely express yourself and explore your feelings.
Therapy is a collaborative process, where we work together to uncover and honor your own unique truth, clarify your needs, identify tools needed to face challenges, and manage obstacles in your path to self-fulfillment.
The cornerstones of my practice are empathy, respect, and compassion, but I'll also challenge you in a direct and nonjudgmental manner to help guide you on your journey. I help clients with depression, relationship issues, anxiety, and life transitions. I also work with couples to help them identify their needs, nurture trust, improve communication skills, heal old wounds, and facilitate loving behavior. Clients describe my style warm, engaging, direct, and effective. I endeavor to nurture a trusting, authentic relationship, bringing curiosity, humor, and optimism to each session.
