My Approach to Helping
The natural evolution of life brings many stressors and transitions our way. We may be faced with relationship problems, choosing a life path, difficulties at work, family upsets and more. Feelings of disconnection, confusion, grief, anxiety, depression and others can be difficult to manage. Increasing self knowledge may enable us to confront such challenges with less difficulty. Greater internal understanding often brings about a stronger understanding of why and how we react, moving us toward a more healthy and fulfilled experience.
My approach with clients is strength based and differs for each individual. I draw from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies while also integrating mindfulness and relaxation. I work collaboratively with clients to help them feel empowered, understood and build a stronger sense of self.
I hope to bring warmth and kindness to each session using validation, empathy, humor and challenges to move towards mutual goals. I look forward to helping you shape a happier, healthier version of yourself.
