My Approach to Helping
The natural evolution of life brings many stressors and transitions our way. We may be faced with relationship problems, choosing a life path, challenges at workschool, family upsets and more. Experiencing confusion, grief, anxiety, depression and other tricky emotions can be difficult to manage. I help people work through these feelings and increase self knowledge. Helping clients to find greater internal understanding often brings about insight and the opportunity for change, moving us toward a more healthy and fulfilled experience.
My approach with clients is strength based and differs for each individual. I draw from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies while also integrating mindfulness and relaxation. I work collaboratively with clients to help them feel empowered, understood and build a stronger sense of self.
I hope to bring warmth and kindness to each session using validation, empathy, humor and challenges to move towards mutual goals. I look forward to helping you shape a happier, healthier version of yourself.
