My Approach to Helping
Robert holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Assumption University. He is passionate about blending the art and science of therapy, taking a personalized approach with each individual while drawing on strategies supported by decades of research. Robert believes in the importance of de-stigmatizing mental health struggles and having honest conversations about important changes we can make to help ourselves and our communities flourish. He enjoys incorporating techniques and discussions focused on understanding personal strengths, finding meaning, and cultivating daily experiences of joy, awe, and connection.
Robert specializes in working with adults experiencing depressive and anxiety symptoms and neurodivergent individuals. He enjoys skills-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and positive psychology. Through these modalities, he highlights the importance of setting effective goals while creating healthy and sustainable habits of mind and routine. Robert also has experience teaching yoga and encourages awareness of how our physical and mental health are intertwined. Small and simple changes to our daily habits over time can be life-changing down the road.
