About me My approach is flexible, nonjudgmental, and focused on creating a safe, supportive space for self-discovery. I specialize in guiding individuals and families through life transitions, such as changes in relationships, work, health, and aging. I have also taught healthcare professionals how to communicate effectively and build stronger partnerships with those they serve. Most of all, I continue to learn from my clients every day and feel honored to be part of their journeys. My approach to therapy: My approach is client-centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed. While my training and experience matter, I believe the most important part of therapy is the fit between us. Drawing on more than 40 years of practice and a variety of treatment methods, I follow your lead as we work toward your goals. As therapy unfolds, we can adjust our focus to explore new areas of growth that feel meaningful to you.

What to expect from your first session: In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I’ll also take time to learn about your background—your family, culture, spirituality, and life experiences—to understand the bigger picture of who you are. I often describe this process as laying out the pieces of a puzzle. Early on, we’ll start sorting those pieces together so we can see how they fit and where we might focus our work in the sessions ahead.
