What's My Approach to Therapy?

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, or obsessive compulsion (OCD), or like your reactions don’t match the present moment, you’re not alone. I help adults untangle the past from the present, so you can feel calmer, safer, and more in control of your life.

As an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist, my approach is trauma-focused, evidence-based, and collaborative. I use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR, including advanced EMDR 2.0), Internal Family Systems (IFS) ego states therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with exposure and response prevention (ERP), and polyvagal-informed techniques to help regulate the nervous system and process difficult experiences safely. When working with OCD and complex trauma, I focus on both the symptoms and the deeper experiences driving them. We’ll build safety first, then gradually untangle the fears, memories, and compulsive patterns so they no longer run your life. Sessions are tailored to your unique needs and pace, creating a space where you can explore challenges, access inner resources, and build lasting change.

I bring both professional expertise and personal insight into the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a warm, affirming space where you feel truly seen and understood while developing tools to manage your symptoms and reclaim your life.

You don’t have to face this alone. Reach out today to start feeling seen, supported, and in control.

My Practice & Services

I provide trauma-focused, evidence-based therapy in a safe, affirming space for adults navigating anxiety, OCD, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), phobias, and mood conditions. Sessions are offered both in-person and via telehealth to provide flexible options for your schedule and location.

I work with individuals and couples, and occasionally offer group workshops focused on nervous system regulation, coping with anxiety, and trauma recovery skills. My practice emphasizes a collaborative approach, tailoring each session to your unique needs, pace, and goals.

I aim to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported while building tools to manage symptoms, process difficult experiences, and cultivate meaningful, lasting change.

My Role as a Therapist

My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I guide clients through trauma, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and other challenges using evidence-based approaches like EMDR, IFSEgo States, CBTERP, and polyvagal-informed techniques. I work collaboratively with you, helping you access inner resources, regulate your nervous system, and build skills for lasting change.

I see myself as both a guide and a partner in your healing process. I bring professional expertise as well as personal insight from my own experience with trauma and anxiety, which helps me understand what it feels like to struggle and how powerful it can be to find relief. My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered to navigate life with greater ease and resilience.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

It's normal to feel uncertain or nervous about starting therapy. Many clients worry about being judged, sharing too much too soon, or not knowing if it will help. I focus on creating a safe, affirming space where you set the pace. We'll start where you are, explore your concerns collaboratively, and I?ll guide you through evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches so you feel supported and understood every step of the way.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

I view mental health challenges not as labels, but as responses to life experiences and stress. Therapy focuses on your unique patterns, helping you understand your nervous system, process difficult experiences, and build tools for lasting change while honoring your resilience.
