My Approach to Helping
I work with my clients holistically to explore how trauma appears in our mind, body, and spirit. I work with you to reconnect to all the parts of yourself you have disconnected from due to trauma, shame, fear, and pain. We work together to find a sense of balance and ease in your life to create the life you desire skillfully.
We would work collaboratively in weekly therapy sessions to build self-awareness by exploring stories and patterns in your life that are blocking you from living the life you want. We explore the stories from our personal experiences and society's messages about who we are according to gender, race, sexuality, ability level, and socioeconomic status.
I incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices in my work so that we may slow down the process and tap into emotions and bodily sensations arising at the moment. I integrate yoga therapy practices to build customized practices to help my clients find balance in their nervous systems. These practices help to build self-awareness, so you can make mindful choices in your life to take control of your emotions and energy.
I love to laugh with my clients and find joy in the process of healing. We need to find joy to hold the pain and move through the complex parts of life.
