My Approach to Helping
My intention is to consistently provide a safe place for you to examine your own needs and challenges, and to practice strategies that fit your own unique goals. I have had the privilege of working with clients struggling with many challenges, and specialize in working with adult and childhood trauma, anxiety, healthy relationships, and dissociation. At this time, online therapy sessions are offered throughout the week and weekend, including evenings. Scheduling for in-person sessions is available as well.
Throughout the therapeutic process, I utilize dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skill-building, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). At times, we may also explore avoidance patterns, attachment styles, personality traits, and defense mechanisms.
I know the barriers trauma imposes on the human psyche, and I'm here to tell you, it doesn't have to define your story. I've had the privilege of witnessing hopelessness transform into hopefulness, surviving the shift to thriving, and exhaustion develops into enthusiasm.
