What's My Approach to Therapy?
I work with individuals who are feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, or unsure of why certain patterns keep showing up in their lives. I firmly believe that by exploring our unconscious minds, we are able to get a deeper understanding on the meaning of various ailments in our lives. In our work together, we’ll explore how past experiences may be affecting your present. We’ll take time to process difficult emotions and memories, and we’ll work with the parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside or not fully understood. It is often with this self awareness that we can begin to shift.
I’m a psychodynamic and EMDR-trained therapist based virtually in Ontario. My approach is depth-oriented, which means we won’t just focus on managing symptoms. I believe that in order to heal, our story needs to be heard by another. While listening to your story, I will be warm, open, and present.
