My Approach to Helping
The road to life is filled with unanswered questions, but finding the courage to seek meaning and accomplish your goals is already in you. I have joined various individuals and couples on their journey towards emotional growth. This road isn’t always easy, but knowing you are not alone to navigate this process can ease the burden. I am a caring, compassionate, and client-centered registered psychotherapist who supports clients in finding their own unique direction in life.
I work with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and difficulties with resolving conflicts in past or current interpersonal relationships. I also support clients with exploring and resolving the impact of various traumatic or emotionally overwhelming experiences that have transpired. Additionally, I have worked extensively with individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress due to the nature of their work, specifically emergency responders, and managing workplace stress and burnout.
I also work with couples who experience challenges with resolving various conflicts. Specifically, in couples therapy, I work with partners to address a variety of relationship issues, such as repairing ruptures due to infidelity, improving sexual and emotional intimacy, challenges with communication, amicable decoupling, managing conflicts due to blended families, parenting, and/or finances. Our work together supports you in accessing, expressing, and clarifying the emotional patterns that underly your interactions as a couple with the goal of creating a shift to ensure a more secure and satisfying bond.
A confidential, caring, and compassionate therapeutic relationship is important for you to comfortably be able to share the thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationship issues that have been most distressing for you. I use empirically supported treatment approaches to ensure that your concerns are addressed using well-established therapeutic practices.
I look forward to our journey together.
