What's My Approach to Therapy?

Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles. As a registered psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in helping clients heal at the root, integrating mind and body to foster lasting transformation. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey.

At Aurora Village Wellness & Therapy Centre and Newmarket Therapy Centre, I lead a team of dedicated therapists who share these values. Together, we provide a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing. Our integrative practice brings together evidence-based therapies such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches with complementary wellness services like neurofeedback and trauma-informed bodywork.

We offer individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as groups and workshops that foster connection and growth. By combining psychotherapy with holistic practices, our team supports healing on every level—emotional, physical, and relational.

I believe therapy is not just about reducing symptoms but about uncovering your authentic self and reclaiming a sense of wholeness. My mission—and that of my team—is to help you find balance, resilience, and a deeper connection to yourself and others.

My Practice & Services

We know that finding the right therapist can feel daunting. That’s why our dedicated intake team is here to help. From your very first contact, we take the time to listen to your needs, preferences, and goals. Based on this, we thoughtfully match you with the therapist best suited to support your journey. This personalized approach ensures you feel supported, understood, and confident in taking the next step toward healing.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

I believe healing is not simply about managing symptoms, but about reconnecting with the deeper truth of who we are. Lasting transformation happens when we address both the mind and the body, creating space for balance, integration, and wholeness.

In my work as a psychotherapist, I see every challenge?whether anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles?as an invitation to grow. Healing begins when we feel safe enough to explore our pain and discover the strength and resilience within us.

I also believe that healing is not meant to happen in isolation. It unfolds in relationship?with a trusted therapist, within community, and ultimately with ourselves. That?s why our practice brings together a team of therapists and wellness practitioners who share this vision: to create a safe, compassionate space where each person can find connection, clarity, and renewal.

At its heart, my philosophy is simple: healing is about returning to wholeness, building resilience, and reclaiming the freedom to live with balance, authenticity, and deeper connection.
