What's My Approach to Therapy?
I have been providing therapy for 15 years for individuals, couples, and families to people of all ages, from the very young to the very experienced. But most importantly, this journey is about you and why you're seeking help. What do we really need when starting the process of therapy and healing? A safe environment that's comfortable and welcoming to explore emotions, feelings, and perspectives without judgment. That's what you can expect from our time together. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), complex posttraumatic stress (C-PTSD), self-harm and suicide ideation, substance use, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, chronic pain, life transitional concerns, disabilities, and pre- and postnatal issues. And if there's something I can't help you with, I work with a phenomenal team and will find someone who can.
I use an eclectic treatment approach, which includes attachment theory, relationship therapy, inner child work, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I bring a culturally sensitive lens to our sessions, and welcome people from any walk of life.
