My Approach to Helping
Compassionate, attentive, and knowledgeable. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor practicing in Birmingham, Michigan. I also have my Limited Licensed Counselor and National Certified Counselor Credentials. I have a B.A. in Psychology from Michigan State, and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, where I presented my thesis on decreasing the misdiagnosis of bipolar disorder.
I utilize a collaborative approach with you in session, finely tailoring your therapy, so you reach your therapeutic objectives sooner. I apply cutting-edge research modalities from Europe and The United States to build on your existing strengths. These modalities include EMDR, biofeedback techniques, CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic psychology.
I began my clinical experience specializing in perinatal and reproductive mental health. My clinical offerings have widened to include life transitions, all aspects of relationship counseling, education and workforce discrimination, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, trauma, sports psychology and performance anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and medication adherence and alternatives.
