My Approach to Helping
Hello! my name is Melissa and I would be honored to listen and engage with you in your story.
Regardless of what you are going through, I believe that there is healing in having the support of another along the journey. Life is full of challenges, leaving you feeling burned out, overwhelmed, anxious, or grieving loss. Therapy can be a daunting journey to embark on, but I hope that my office can become a safe and comforting space, where we can work together as you learn new boundaries and coping skills, heal current and past wounds, and become more confident and grounded in who you are.
I hold a Person Centered view of therapy, as I seek to help by coming alongside you in your pain. I can also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. I have a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a Professional Counseling Associate through OR State.
I am able to provide services in person (office) or electronically (video or phone call) to best suit each individual client.
