My Approach to Helping

Throughout the journey of a woman’s life there are many emotional shifts and challenges. Are you going through a difficult life event and feeling like it would help to have more support? Are you looking to learn ways to increase your emotional wellness, resolve conflicts, and feel more secure in your relationship with yourself and others?

I offer a supportive space that incorporates mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, counseling, and art therapy. Each of these modalities provide a way of integrating the mindbody connection and working through emotions, thought patterns, and experiences. I work from a strength based wellness perspective and my approach is collaborative.

Ma Zen Space is a therapeutic space that supports women’s emotional wellness, children, and maternal mental health. Common themes of therapeutic sessions include: anxiety, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, new mom support, child development, fertility, miscarriage, pregnancy loss, body image, eating disorders, motherhood, parenting, relationships, depressed mood, grief and loss, and identity.

Sometimes expressing ourselves requires more than words and at times we might make artwork together. Art Therapy is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to: Identify, explore, and express emotions, resolve conflicts and problems, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight.
