My Approach to Helping
Therapy is best when taking a collaborative approach. While grounded in evidence-based practice, the therapeutic relationship we develop is foundational to making those life changes you need in order to live your life to its fullest. Perhaps you are struggling with a new cancer diagnosis, feel overwhelmed by life's stressors, or struggling with challenges of being a survivor of abuse, by working together, we can move towards recognizing your own strengths and build on them so that you emerge even stronger from our time together. Whether it is by learning new skills or developing an alternative perspective to difficulties you face, our work together can help you start a journey of independence and fulfillment so that you can meet your life's goals.
More Info About My Practice
I see wellness from a holistic perspective and incorporate biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors into our work together. Our physical, emotional, social, and spiritual selves need nurturing, but they are also the very resources that make us the resilient beings that we are. Using complementary therapeutic techniques tailored to your specific goals and needs, we can lift up the whole you so that you can live your life to its fullest.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
One of the most incredible sights to bear witness to is seeing human strength and will in live action. My work as a psychotherapist allows me to watch it play out as clients come to my office and share their survival story. What I love most about what I do is when I am able to help my clients recognize their own strength and will and the true inspiration that is their life.
