I am still amazed by how much I learn from my clients and how often your stories of overcoming sadness and adversity move and inspire me. I intertwine this knowledge with 37 years of professional counseling experience to individuals, children and families. I Google to stay current with wellness, brain-based research and developing treatments and do my best to pay all that I have learned forward. My style is interactive and collaborative and I've found that well-timed, compassionate humor can, oftentimes, alleviate emotional pain. I am willing to share part of my ups and downs as an adoptive parent of a special needs mentally ill child (now a successful adult) and former caretaker of aging parents without getting in the way of your work.
