My Approach to Helping

You are worth feeling better. If you are lost, hurting, confused, in pain, or just don't know what to do next - please contact me and see if we're a good match. I work with trauma, childhood trauma, childhood emotional neglect (CEN), addiction, codependency, and that thing where you know something is majorly wrong but you don't even know what to call it. I am dedicated to my craft and seriously enjoy helping people sort out their lives.

You are looking for help, feeling miserable, and don't know what to do next. My role and expertise is to guide you to a place in your life that you cannot yet see. If you are a man or woman who is simply lost (or getting close to it), you are in the right place. My goal as a therapist is to provide down to earth, practical, and insightful solutions in a timely and comfortable manner. I am passionate and excited to hear from you to help you forge a path of success. I have received excellent training, extensive The first several sessions are spent getting to know each other. What I call the "lay all the puzzle pieces out on the table and flip them right side up" approach. After that a picture starts forming that helps guide the rest of treatment. Putting the puzzle pieces together and forming a grand cohesive picture of your life is the goal. The 'therapeutic relationship' is extremely important and I take great care to ensure that we will have an authentic and trustworthy relationship.

Approaching a therapist with your struggles is a stressful experience. I aim to provide a calm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere to help you explore, establish, and accomplish your goals. I enjoy working with all types of people and issues, and I have significant experience and training working with individual distress, trauma, parenting, couples problems, anxiety, depression, oppositionaldefiant behaviors in children, and many others. More Info About My Practice

PCIT. I am a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) certified therapist. If you have a difficult child, this is the therapy for you!

PCIT is an evidence-based treatment for young children (2.5 - 6 years old) with behavioral problems. PCIT is conducted through "coaching" sessions during which you and your child are in a playroom while the therapist observes you interact with your child and provides in-the-moment coaching on skills you are learning to manage your child's behavior. Therapy typically takes 10-12 sessions (one sessionweek) for completion, which is significantly shorter than other therapy models for children. I am a certified PCIT clinician and have practiced this treatment for over 11 years. In my experience, parents usually report improved behavior from their child within one to two weeks!
