My Approach to Helping

Are you tired of feeling stuck in your life? Do you continue to repeat old patterns of relating to others? Do you continue to struggle with low self esteem? Are you tired of facing all the challenges in life? Are you tired of living with old patterns of unhealthy habits? Working as a therapist for over 30 years I am known by others as a compassionate and skilled therapist who can help! As I work with you we will look at these unhealthy patterns of living and relating to others. I will work side by side with you as you work through the pain and trauma of the past and help you rediscover life or possibly discover vibrant living for the first time in your life! Give yourself the gift of letting go of the past and living an intentional life in the present!

More Info About My Practice

I offer Walk and Talk Therapy. You can find more information about this on my website: www.maryshull.com

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Mindfulness is a practice that I am trained in and it is particularly helpful when our brains don't stop and are running wild down the track! When it comes to working with anxiety and depression employing mindfulness and enjoying the gift of the present moment is the answer to living a quality life. If you are stuck due to early trauma, complicated grief, or emotional abuse, I can help you get unstuck and enjoy living with meaning and purpose!

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy can help you discover and dig up old roots from the past and give you the lenses to see the new life you can live. I am skilled at helping you move from a place of struggle, pain, and frustration to a place of hope and new skills for living. This is why I love being a therapist!

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Part of my practice includes Walk and Talk therapy for those who want to practice mindfulness skills while
walking in a farm country setting. I also use pet therapy with my Golden Retriever which has been particularly helpful for teens and young adults who have been traumatized and have difficulty opening up.
