My Approach to Helping
I help people change their relationship to their emotions and thoughts so that they can live the life they want. I provide psychotherapy for adults struggling with anxiety, stress, anger, depression, and self-esteem issues.
My purpose is to create a safe and inviting space in which you feel comfortable to work through what you bring to the session. Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, I will support you at your pace while helping you to discover and work toward your goals, while building on your unique strengths. I use a variety of techniques adapted to each individual, including those from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I practice with a shame and trauma informed lens, knowing that everyone has experienced pain in their own way. As hard as life can be, it can also be beautiful, enjoyable, and meaningful. I look forward to accompanying you on this roller coaster of a journey we call life.
