My Approach to Helping
My name is Maria, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a passion for helping people overcome challenges and live more fulfilling lives. I have experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds and situations. I provide psychotherapy for adults struggling with anxiety, stress, anger, depression, and self-esteem issues. I use a variety of techniques adapted to each individual. I practice with a shame and trauma informed lens, knowing that everyone has experienced pain in their own way. Some of the interventions I use include acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, emotion-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy. These approaches can help you relate differently to your thoughts and feelings, identify and challenge negative beliefs, develop new skills, and create positive changes in your life.
I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your issues, express yourself, and find solutions. I also offer online sessions for your convenience and accessibility.
