My Approach to Helping
I'm a clinician and a consultant working with psychotherapists, counselors & coaches, As therapists, protecting our clients' confidentiality, we can't discuss our problematic cases or our professional and personal lives anywhere. All of us, no matter how experienced we are, no matter what theoretical perspective we follow, sometimes find ourselves working with difficult clients and often, we "need someone to talk to." Meeting on Zoom, I see people in ongoing consultation, or in single-session meetings according to what someone wants and needs. Some of my clients are just starting their practice, while others are wanting to expand their professional activities to include writing, speaking, or teaching but find fear of success or fear of failure stopping them. In my role as consultant, I work for my clients, helping them feel professionally competent --and they keep their own clients, who are most often getting better. Having your own consultant to talk to about your successes and difficulties as helping professionals can make the world of difference.
