My Approach to Helping
My approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I help people see that the origin of most of their problems is between their ears - the thoughts they think that get in their way. Clinical research has shown that non-productive thoughts can be seen to be the basis for emotions andor behaviors that do not work for people. I help people to more healthful living and more healthful relationships in a two-step process. The first step is helping them identify the thoughts that create the feelings and behaviors that do not work, and the second step is helping them learn effective challenges to those non-productive thoughts.
