My Approach to Therapy

If your middle name is "Too Much," "Not Enough,” "Out of Control" or "Unloveable" I’ve got you. I support folks who feel unsafe in their bodies and brains, struggling with the internalized impacts of trauma. Having an unsafe body and brain due to trauma, disordered eating, relational betrayal, andor neurodivergence can cause a lot of pain but there's hope. Using somatic, expressive arts, and traditional forms of therapy, I help people overcome feeling overwhelmed for more safety and satisfaction. As a neurodivergent, trauma survivor, I understand the rawness and resilience of being human. My clients describe me as warm, curious, and affirming, with a dash of humor and playfulness. Being deeply attuned to my clients is very important to me. I'm passionate about helping clients discover their inherent gifts and strengths. If you're looking for a guide who can simultaneously hold and push you, I could be the therapist for you. I look forward to connecting!

How Psychotherapy Can Help

If relationships created your suffering and struggles then relationships can heal them. By engaging in new, reparative relationships (with yourself and with others) you can develop an embodied sense of worthiness. Psychotherapy is a healing relationship that not only teaches you new tools, but also repairs past wounds. I can guide you in this process, bringing deep care and compassion. Taking a phased approach to therapy, I use both creative and evidence-based approaches to support your goals. First, we'll work to build awareness of the beliefs, experiences, body sensations and memories that negatively impact your wellbeing. We'll collaborate on a plan that's right for you or your relationships. Next, I teach somatic resourcing skills and self befriending practices that address ingrained survival strategies that no longer serve you or your relationships. Through this process, you can build a more trusting and compassionate relationship with yourself, others, and the world. Finally, deeper wounds are addressed and processed, clearing the way for more satisfaction and wellbeing. To close, I'll support the integration of your healing journey.
