My Approach to Helping
Do you struggle with setting boundaries, guilt and anxiety? Are you tired of expressing how you feel, but no one seems to listen, or you feel manipulated? Sometimes we all just want to be heard, to have someone who truly listens to us without judgement, without interruption or speaking about themselves. I specialize in treating adults who are ready to make changes in their life because they have come to recognize that doing the same things are not working. My clients tend to get better because they are willing to make the changes while I am merely a guide on their journey.
I utilize acceptance commitment therapy, (ACT) cognitive behavioral, (CBT), person centered and mindfulness techniques. Life is full of stressors which we cannot completely eradicate as new stressors are continually a part of life. I assist my clients on how to live with these stressors by allowing them to feel their anxiety or depression and understand it.
For your convenience I am available most evening and weekend hours to accommodate your busy schedules if you work during the day. I realize it is not an easy decision to contact a counselor, but you do not need to do it alone.
