My Approach to Helping
I am formally retiring June 30, 2019. My thanks and my respect to clients, their families and colleagues who trusted my work and permitted me to witness their struggles, their pain, and their successes over myyears of practice.
Over the many years that I have practiced, I have learned that the need to be heard and understood, to be appreciated and valued when we are struggling and in pain is crucial to our healing--even when the best of ourselves feels invisible or hard to hold onto. Helping individual clients, couples, and families find balance between strengths and vulnerabilities and the strengths and vulnerabilities of those to whom they are connected and love even if there has been an injury, is essential. My practice has taught me that although I have an expertise, my work is only successful if I recognize the knowledge and skills of my clients.
