My Approach to Helping
I offer people support in exploring and examining themselves and their relationships. My clients are often professionals with a goal of “having it all” or are in a time of significant personal transformation. You might have realized you’re in a negative relationship pattern, or you’re going through a big life transition like changing your career, considering marriage, or entering parenthood. These life events often push the boundaries of our current identities and challenge our sense of who we are. I work both with individuals doing self-exploration and with couples and families who are working through issues together.
I believe that greater self-awareness leads to greater fulfillment, both in your life and in your relationships. If you’re wondering why you keep dating the same type of person over-and-over again, why you keep having the same frustrations at different workplaces, or why you keep having the same fight with your partner, I can help you examine this. I help my clients uncover what’s behind their unconscious patterns to help them grow and empower people to authentically choose how they show up in their own lives.
My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and practical while coming from a psychodynamic lens. I am LGBT-affirmative, sex positive, and support all relationship structures.
Knowing your limits and when you need additional support takes true strength, and I commend you for taking the first step on your therapeutic journey. I’d love to help you determine how to best get the support you need. I offer a free 15-minute consult to determine if I’m the right therapist for you.
