My Approach to Helping

Help, healing and hope are achievable. You can do it, I believe in you! The goal is for you to be happy, healthy and thriving.

Trauma can be overwhelming and life altering. Trauma can stop you from moving forward in life and affect areas of your life and relationships. No matter the story, help is available to assist you in navigating through your trauma narrative and give you the tools necessary to become happy, healthy and thriving. Processing through traumatic events is no easy task; being brave enough to try and seek out help is no small feat. I already admire your bravery and courage. I consider it an honor to walk alongside you and empower you to do hard things- because you can!

More Info About My Practice

Hi! My name is LaTisha Robinson and I cannot wait to assist you on your path towards wholeness. As a therapist with over 13 years of experience, I bring to the table a wealth of knowledge. But, knowledge isn't always enough, I also offer practical steps to help you move forward in your healing journey.

Thidwick Counseling Services was created from a Dr. Seuss book called Thidwick the Big-hearted Moose. It was this book that really put into perspective what the essence of therapy really is, learning to set boundaries, using your voice, learning to say no and being confident that you are enough. These foundational principles are the very fibers of what we will be achieving in your therapy session.

Whatever led you to search for a therapist, you are recognizing that you need additional resources and tools in your tool belt. Allow me to walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey. You can do hard things!

My Role as a Therapist

In therapy, I often refer to myself as a GPS.

I am not the driver. I am not in control. I don't determine speed, braking or other sorts of things while "driving". This allows you to be in control. This is very powerful as often when someone is in therapy it's because of "other people taking the wheel without your permission". This is not my role as your therapist.

As the GPS, I will always route you to your destination. The only thing you can do is trust and know the GPS will get you where you need to be. No matter the twists and turns or extra stops, the GPS always knows the end. The GPS never panics when there needs to be a new route.
