My Approach to Helping
Kristie Sprouse is a Licensed Professional Resident in Counseling with over 10 years of experience working in mental health care. Kristie specializes in depression, anxiety, stress, eating issues, relationships, neurodiversity, childhood trauma, domestic violence, LGBTQ+ issues, and women’s issues, as well as treating those with disabilities, spiritual communities, immigrants and refugees, and minorities. Kristie provides a safe and supportive space for clients to work toward their goals. She has a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Regent University. Kristie's approach to therapy is holistic and person-centered, centering on each client’s needs and goals. She uses various evidence-based modalities including motivational interviewing, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, seeking safety, narrative therapy, Christian counseling, and mindfulness-based relapse prevention.
