My Approach to Helping

Do you feel stressed, overwhelmed, worried, confused, or conflicted in your relationships? Do your feelings make it tough to manage by yourself? Do your feelings affect your daily life, causing you to struggle with your view of yourself and your choices? Life's abundant challenges and opportunities can undermine our vision of ourselves and our lives. I'll help you develop a therapeutic plan to reach your goals while feeling better and more confident, both now and in the future, no matter what obstacles you face.

My experience and training as a transpersonal counselor can help you cultivate new skills for easing overwhelming emotions, worry, and stress. I can help you experience more contentment every day. We will also explore what already works for you so you can expand on that. I have experience helping clients with issues such as bipolar, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, life transitions, identity, chronic pain, and spirituality.

I seek feedback from you every session so I can tailor my approach to completely fit your needs. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to tailor each session to your needs. I look forward to collaborating to help you resolve distress, build greater satisfaction, and cultivate deeper awareness.

More Info About My Practice

My fee is $115session. I can accept cash, check, HSA or credit card. I will not work directly with insurance companies; however, if you are interested in pursuing insurance reimbursement for services received I can provide you with a monthly statement to submit. Depending on clients' need and availability within my caseload I offer sliding scale fees.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Typically I see that suppressing emotions is more painful and overwhelming than working to resolve them. Once a safe place exists to share and understand difficult feelings many people sense immediate relief. There is of course a process to work with feelings, which can feel difficult, but it is equally rewarding. Climbing a mountain isn't easy either, but the view from the top is priceless.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Therapy is as long as you want it to be because you are in the driver's seat. We will assess this together to make sure your needs are being met and if they evolve over time and therefore need to adjust the focus or style of our work. Weekly visits are most common because therapy is a practice like anything else, but we can meet more or less frequently depending on your circumstances.
