My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with eight years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, and I have experience with utilizing evidenced-based practices along with other treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy. I enjoy helping others in understanding the effects of negative thinking patterns and helping them in finding a better perspective, or balanced way of thinking which will continue to aid in one making progress. I encourage my clients to use positive coping strategies, communication, and finding additional positive supports to continue to better themselves.
I have experience working with children, teens, and adults who have suffered from traumatic situations, anxiety depression, substance use, parenting issues, maternal mental health, and disruptive behaviors. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, seeking safety, positive parenting program, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, managing and adapting practices, and parent child interaction therapy.
