My Approach to Helping
I support people to find peace of mind and inner healing from eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and stress. I teach my clients how to slow down their thinking, come off of auto-pilot, process emotions on a deeper level, let go of control, and connect with their true self.
The process that I will guide you through is a blend of therapeutic teachings, awareness exercises, and gentle self-exploration. I specialize in humanistic therapy, transpersonal therapy, and mindfulness therapy. This type of inner work doesn't involve intellectual coping strategies or using willpower to change your thinking or behaviour. Instead, I will teach you how to quiet your mind and observe its activity non-judgementally so that you can connect with a deeper type of awareness. This awareness allows us to experience thoughts and emotions without becoming controlled by them. It creates an openness internally that helps us see the deeper dynamics keeping our patterns in place so that we can let go and free ourselves. It also strengthens connection to our true self, which is an ever-present source of strength. With this type of work, people can experience inner freedom, joy, resilience, and wellness.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I have dedicated my life to teaching people what I learned myself many years ago: that there is a deeper part of us that is steady and wise, untouched by our negative experiences, that we can rely on in difficult moments. I began this path in 2008 when I was desperate to heal from my own long-standing eating disorder, depression, and anxiety. I met a therapist who knew that full healing was possible, and that I wouldn't have to rely on coping strategies for the rest of my life. She developed a structured process that she guided me through (and later trained me in). She taught me the power of inner silence, an open awareness, and intuition. I was led on a path of discovering my true self, breaking free from my conditioning, processing my emotions, and letting go of unhealthy patterns that were making me unwell. I continue to integrate these practices into my daily life and have learned that while I cannot avoid the pains of existence, I can support myself and become truly resilient by remaining centered and open. For me, it isn't just about therapy, but about learning to be human.
