My Approach to Helping
We all experience seasons of life where we feel very alone and need someone to talk to. Whether you can trace that sense of painful isolation to something specific in your current circumstances, personal history, or future life trajectory, it’s very normal to feel uncertain and overwhelmed with how to move forward. Our response to this kind of distress can affect our relationships, our health, our work, and other important areas of our life.
If this feels like your situation, and it is interfering with living the happy, satisfied life you want, I believe it is a sign of courage and strength to reach out for supportive help. You will be welcomed into a private, peaceful setting, and invited to share your concerns and begin the important work of restoring balance in your life.
My first goal as your counselor is to listen well. I know what it’s like to sit in your chair. My goal is for you to help me understand your story and connect with you. As we talk together, I draw from many years of experience and integrative therapeutic approaches. I will help you connect with inner strengths and resources you may have overlooked or underestimated. Feeling empowered, you’ll find yourself able to make positive changes that lead to personal growth, help you feel better, and believe in and achieve your goals.
