What's My Approach to Therapy?

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth therapy for teens, young adults, and adults in Missouri and Kansas. I specialize in working with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, burnout, and patterns of overthinking that leave clients feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves.

With a background as both a school counselor and classroom teacher, I bring a strong understanding of emotional development, stress, and life transitions. While my practice originally focused on children, it has evolved to work more intentionally with adolescents and adults who are seeking clarity, emotional regulation, and healthier relationships.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and practical. I focus on real tools that can be applied at home, at school, and within relationships. I also work with parents and young adults who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected, with the goal of restoring communication, trust, and connection while helping teens and young adults build effective coping skills.

I am located in Liberty, Missouri, and serve clients across the Kansas City metro area, including North Kansas City, Kearney, and surrounding communities. I am currently accepting new clients for in-person sessions in Missouri and telehealth sessions in both Missouri and Kansas.

My Practice & Services

I work with teens, young adults, and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or emotionally exhausted from trying to keep everything together. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but internally feel anxious, burned out, or disconnected from themselves and their relationships.

My practice is primarily telehealth, which allows therapy to fit more naturally into real life. Sessions are designed to feel supportive, grounded, and practical — not overwhelming or overly clinical. I focus on helping clients slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and develop tools they can actually use between sessions.

With a background as both a school counselor and classroom teacher, I have a strong understanding of emotional development, stress, and life transitions. While I once worked primarily with younger children, my work has evolved to focus more intentionally on adolescents and adults seeking clarity, emotional regulation, and healthier relationships.

Therapy with me is collaborative and trauma-informed. We move at your pace, focusing on what feels most relevant and helpful right now. If you’re ready for support that meets you where you are and helps you feel more grounded and connected, I’d be glad to work with you.
