My Approach to Helping
**** No wait-list, accepting new clients, offering videophone counseling **** I have obtained the knowledge and clinical experience in working with culturally diverse populations with varying types and severities of emotional and mental health concerns, such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. After months working with my clients, most of them successfully reduced suicidal ideations and reported less depressive andor anxious symptoms. I have an Honour Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Sexual Diversity Studies, Women& Gender Studies and Jewish Studies from U of T and a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University.
I went to many psychotherapy trainings when I was a student in Columbia and I got more than ten certificates of completion in a very diverse range of psychotherapy modalities such as complicated grief, acceptance and commitment therapy, etc. As an international social work graduate, I am devoted to practice in a culturally sensitive approach.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, I am now offering virtual counseling at a lower price for new clients and half-priced sessions for frontline workers. I am here to support and we can get through this together! I am a long-time LGBTQ+ advocate and intersectional feminist. "We are more alike my friend than we are unalike." - Maya Angelou
