What's My Approach to Therapy?
I am a registered social worker in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia with 20 years of experience specializing in bipolar condition counseling, psychosis, schizophrenia spectrum conditions, depression, and anxiety. For the past 15 years, I’ve focused exclusively on psychosis and bipolar condition, providing compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care. I offer virtual therapy to individuals across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, making sessions accessible and convenient. As a registered mental health provider with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) in British Columbia, I provide direct billing for FNHA clients.
My career spans diverse settings, including community hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and mental health teams in Canada and the United Kingdom. I’ve supported individuals, families, and loved ones navigating complex issues like bipolar and psychosis therapy, and schizophrenia spectrum conditions. I’ve also supervised over 15 master’s students in mental health settings.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and tailored to your needs. Using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal therapy, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy, I help clients manage diagnoses, build resilience, and achieve personal growth. I’m committed to helping you navigate your mental health journey with care, understanding, and experience.
