My Approach to Helping
As a psychologist, I have helped hundreds of women develop clarity, effective coping skills, improve their relationships, and align with their souls. I am passionate about supporting women who are seeking to reclaim their self-worth, life purpose, and sense of belonging, women who are interested in personal growth, improved relationships, a deeper connection to their higher-self and self-actualization. I truly believe healing and true growth takes a mind-body-soul approach and that we are here to evolve as human beings.
While I have extensive training in traditional psychotherapies, my approach is Holistic, Transpersonal and Spiritual, Integrated and Non-Pathologizing. I celebrate the uniqueness and sacredness of all humanity, so when working with me, my clients can expect an approach that is highly personalized towards their personal growth, values, and the specific results they are striving for.
In preparation for change, Mindfulness and Grounding skills are essential to learn for the process of rewiring the brain and making constructive change. Together we focus on deprogramming the old beliefs and stories that have been limiting or sabotaging the client and replacing them with new more powerful and constructive stories and beliefs. Practice and repetition are important in the creation of new perspectives and new neural networks in the brain that support the new healthier version of the Self.
Additional therapies I use include Shadow Work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Hypnosis, Visualization, EMDR, EFT (Tapping), Havening and other skills to create a deep and lasting change.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
A good alliance allows the magic of therapy to happen ~ the rare human connection that our world so desperately needs. A good alliance between the therapist and the client can sometimes feel like an instant connection where you both sense it is a good fit for doing work together, and other times it may need to be nurtured a bit. A good alliance will help to create the safe container where one can heal, grow, and have self-discovery. To explore different ways of thinking, effective ways to challenge, and learn how to connect with others in meaningful ways. A good alliance will help you to thrive.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
The overall length of treatment can vary based on the client and her goals. Brief therapy, when we are working on one clearly identified issue, can be completed in 4 to 12 sessions. However, some people may choose to have additional sessions or may need additional sessions due to having more complicated issues or wanting to engage in deeper work or personal growth. Many people find therapy to be an essential part of their self-care regime to help live happier and healthier lives in the fast-past, crazy, modern world we reside in.
Typically, the first few sessions are scheduled weekly to get the client going and then they can be spaced to bi-weekly and then taper off as the client gets closer to reaching her goals.
And like everything else in life - you only get out what you put into it! Hence, if you do the work between sessions you will see progress faster. You set the pace of your therapy. We can go as fast or as slow as you decide.
