He earned his Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance fromSouthwest Texas State University (Texas State University) and isexperienced in cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and brainspotting techniques.John has experience working in a residential treatment center, private practice settings, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and foster home residents and parents. He brings a common sense approach to therapy, utilizing a person’s strengths and motivation to facilitate change. John has extensive experience working together with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help them address life's obstacles together, as a team.
