My Approach to Helping
If you are here, it means you are struggling. Life is not what you dreamed it would be. You feel overwhelmed, lost, and alone. You’re buried by life’s demands, which leaves little to no room for you. Your longings feel like a distant part of self that you don’t know how to get back to. You may have read all the self help books and listened to all the podcasts. Sure, they have some great information. Yet, why do I still feel stuck? You are not alone. Insight is a means to an end, yet it is not the end itself. I will join you in your struggle, and together we will explore the unknown places to get you to where you want to be.
From a young age we learn, for better and for worse, how to survive. Our unconscious creates creative, yet at times maladaptive ways to protect ourselves. For this reason, I use depth therapies that explore defenses that keep us stuck. I also utilize body based techniques, like mindfulness and breathing, to connect to unprocessed emotion within the body.
It is my utmost priority to create a safe place for client\'s to bring anything and everything to session. I love working with individuals and couples who are ready to commit to a consistent process.
