My Approach to Helping
You never imagined life would be this way: so busy, hard, and worst of all you've lost touch with the most important parts of yourself. How did this happen? You anxiously feel like you have to keep up with the world around you. Tragically, your relationships are not the way you want them. You have read all the books and listened to all the podcasts. Sure, they have some great information! Yet, why hasn't true change happened? Let me tell you: you are not alone. Insight is a means to an end, yet it is not the end itself. I cannot promise you a pain free life, however you will be able to hold and feel much more than you can right now.
From a young age we learn, for better and for worse, how to survive. Our unconscious creates creative, yet at times maladaptive ways to protect ourselves. For this reason, I use depth therapies that explore defenses that keep us stuck. I also utilize body based techniques, like mindfulness and breathing, to connect to unprocessed emotion within the body.
It is my utmost priority to create a safe place for client's to bring anything and everything to session. I love working with individuals and couples who are ready to commit to a consistent process.
