What's My Approach to Therapy?
Connection is fundamentally necessary for any of us to feel comfortable and happy in our lives. When we lose a sense of connection to ourselves and our relationships, we feel lonely, frustrated, angry, anxious, depressed. I help clients identify emotional roadblocks and the past experiences that perpetuate them, which result in these negative emotions. Working together, we figure out how to change what makes you feel bad. This leads to new pathways for healing, resilience, and growth.
My Practice & Services
My practice is based in a biopsychosocial approach to therapy. I believe to feel happy, confident, comfortable, and connected, we have to look at what we are doing to nourish our bodies, stimulate our minds, and fill our spirits. In my practice, on top of my core attachment-based approach, I address the fundamentals to mental health: exercise, sunlight, community, and nutrition. These are in addition to looking at where you are struggling in your relationships and what negative patterns you unknowingly repeat. My approach is compassionate, calming, and also direct and motivating. My clients tell me I am easy to talk to, fun when appropriate, and direct when needed.
My Role as a Therapist
As your therapist, my role is to help you identify the patterns in your life that lead to frustration, sadness, anger and disconnection, then help find ways to change those patterns so that you can live the happier life you want to live.
