My Approach to Therapy
You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in painful patterns, or struggling to carry the weight of trauma, grief, anxiety, or relationship stress on your own. Reaching out for help can feel difficult, but you do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
I truly love the work I do and believe the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of the healing process. My approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, honest, and respectful. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, relationship conflicts, loss, addiction within families, and difficult past experiences. Together, we focus on understanding the challenges you’re facing, building on the strengths you already have, and developing healthier coping skills and emotional balance.
Healing is possible, and my goal is to help you move forward with greater clarity, peace, confidence, and hope. Let me help bring serenity back into your life.
My Practice & Services
At MDC Serenity Counseling, we offer telehealth and phone counseling sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups. We do not accept insurance, but we can provide superbillsinvoices for clients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance provider.
Session fees are $120 for 50-minute sessions, $150 for initial assessments, and $150 for extended 90-minute sessions. Payment is due at the end of each session, and we accept credit cards, HSA cards, and checks.
Appointments are available Monday–Thursday from 9am–7pm and Fridays from 8am–10am. Our goal is to provide compassionate, flexible, and supportive care that helps clients feel comfortable, understood, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
My own struggles have helped shape me both personally and professionally. Life is not perfect, and none of us are immune to pain, loss, family challenges, or difficult seasons. Those experiences led me to become a therapist and gave me a deep passion for helping others feel less alone in their struggles.
Through my own journey, I learned the importance of resilience, self-care, inner strength, faith, and having a safe person to talk to during difficult times. I truly believe that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. One lesson that has stayed with me is the reminder to ?put your oxygen mask on yourself first? before caring for others.
These experiences allow me to approach therapy with empathy, compassion, honesty, and understanding. I care deeply about my clients and strive to create a supportive space where healing, growth, and positive change feel possible. No matter how overwhelming life may feel right now, I believe hope and healing are possible. My motto is: Never, never, never give up.
